Factory acceptance tests of power and distribution transformers using ICMsystem

Webinar

This is a free webinar.

Factory acceptance tests of power and distribution transformers using ICMsystem Nowadays partial discharge testing is a common part of factory acceptance test procedures for power and distribution transformers. On one hand this is due to the simple fact that the relevant standards for transformers require partial discharge testing as part of the factory acceptance test (FAT) procedure.

On the other hand, while several other tests of the FAT procedure are also an indicator about the quality of the overall insulation system, partial discharge measurements additionally offer in-depth techniques to precisely locate a weakness in the insulation system without opening the transformer. This bears the advantage to exactly plan a repair of the faulty component only. This webinar covers the execution of the measurements necessary for factory acceptance testing of power and distribution transformer, as well as advanced location techniques offered by the ICMsystem in case of a failure in the insulation system.
