TTR100-1

Handheld transformer turns ratio tester (TTR)
- DISCONTINUED

  • Single- and three-phase transformer testing (up to 1 MVA)
  • Tests turns ratio, phase displacement, excitation current, vector group, winding resistance, and polarity
  • Fully automatic, fast, easy-to-use, handheld, robust, lightweight
  • Battery powered, line rechargeable, with power saving and shutdown function
  • RS232 for data transfer and printing
  • Stores 200 test results and 100 user-defined transformer test settings

The TTR100-1 handheld transformer turns ratio tester (TTR) is a robust, lightweight, and battery-operated instrument. It is used to measure the turns ratio, excitation current, phase displacement, DC resistance, and polarity of windings in single- and three-phase distribution transformers (tested phase-by-phase), potential and current transformers (PTs and CTs), and tapped transformers. Deviations in these measurements will quickly indicate problems in transformer windings or in the magnetic core circuits.

The TTR100-1 measures the highest turns ratio in the industry with an accuracy of 0.2 % or better and with the lowest excitation voltage. It can also accurately measure phase deviation (in minutes or centiradians) of the transformer primary versus secondary. This measurement is also useful in verifying phase errors in PTs and CTs.

The TTR100-1 features special software capabilities. It comes equipped with sufficient on-board memory to store up to 200 test results (including test report header information) in the field for later retrieval, as well as 100 user-defined transformer settings. Test results can be downloaded to a PC and it is easy to identify individual test readings. The system software allows entry of the transformer alphanumeric serial number, transformer type, and tap information (numerical, alphabetical, or alpha-numerical) for each test performed.

The unique design of the TTR100-1 allows you to operate the test set while holding it in one hand. Realising the variety of harsh environments in which the TTR100-1 must operate, special attention has been paid to making it extra rugged and robust, with a high impact, shock-resistant case. Yet it is also incredibly lightweight at 3.3 lb. (1.5 kg), weighing less than any other commercially available instrument on the market.

The TTR100-1 is particularly suited for testing in substations and transformer manufacturing environments where testing single and three-phase transformers can be performed. This TTR will complement several existing Megger transformer test products due to it's variety of functions, and these functions, including the phase angle measurement function, can be switched off when not required. The TTR100-1 provides reliable results, helping you determine the condition of the transformer under test and features a high contrast LCD screen that can be seen in bright or ambient light.

You have selected to update your TTR100

  •   If this is an error, please use the back of your browser back button to find the right software.
  •   If the TTR100 is returned for re-calibration or repair it will be updated to the latest version of firmware.
  •   We recommend that you return your TTR100 for calibration check each year.
  •   The factory supplied Certificate of Calibration that comes with the instrument is valid for one year.

Improvements in TTR100 firmware

All later versions include corrections and improvements from previous versions.

Version V1.14

  •   Cleaned up some broken menu items from version 1.13

Version V1.16

  •   Corrects issue with versions 1.09 to 1.14 corrupting or losing serial number after upgrade.
  •   Adds firmware information after serial number on information screen of instrument.

To update the firmware of the TTR100:

  •   Download the TTR100_FWvx_xx.exe file below. Where x_xx is the current version of upgrade program.
  •   After downloading to your PC, run the upgrade program which will install this upgrade program to your PC and open it to allow upgrading an instrument. If accepted during the install, an Icon will be provided on the desktop as well so the actual instrument upgrade can be done at a later time. If the icon creation was not accepted, use the start menu and find the upgrade program under Megger in the programs list.
