Insulation Resistance Testing of Heat Trace Cable
Electric heat tracing systems are widely used inprocessindustriesand have applications in many other areas,as well. In general, these systems are used to maintain a preferred temperature. Applications include:keepingmaterials flowing at an ideal viscosity; preventing pipes from freezing,to help keep railroad tracks, roofs, gutters, antennas, etc.free from ice and snow; or to meet stricttemperature variance requirements in food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic processing industries, to name just a few.

Scanner Feature for the BITE2 and Power DB
If a scanner is used to scan a battery bar code the battery string name will be saved in the data file. A bar code can be created with a string name.  This is then scanned into the BITE2 receiver, using the bar code reader. When the data is transferred to Power DB the string will display the bar code, during the download.

Testing Batteries with 2mm Access Ports
Batteries can present an arc hazard due to their exposed terminals (posts). If a non-insulated tool should fall across these terminals the resulting arc flash can injure people in the vicinity as well as damage equipment. This is why insulated tools should be used when working on battery strings. This is also why some batteries have caps covering their posts. These caps are removed during testing.

A guide to conductor resistance testing of rotating machine stator with MTO106
Measuring the DC conductor resistance of a rotating machine stator can reveal a lot of information about the machine. It is always desirable to find out the existence of any resistance that is higher than the nameplate value which might be caused by poor joints, corrosion or mechanical deformation of the stator winding.
