Electric vehicle (EV) charging installations are being rolled out and there are new types of domestic and industrial safety products to test, such as surge protection devices (SPD) and arc fault detection devices (AFDD). The grid itself is becoming smarter and we need to be able to analyse the quality of the power that we are dealing with. These are just some of the challenges and technologies that Megger will be addressing in our ever-expanding product range, and embedded hardware and software will play key roles in our new projects.

Role description
With a greater level of software development knowledge, a Megger senior software engineer will drive efficient and scalable design patterns and architectures across the Megger product range.
To drive a 'right-first-time' methodology, you will drive a model-based systems engineering and software development strategy to understand and explore the problem space before solutions are provided.
You will work closely with the Safety Systems and Hardware teams to manage SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Testable, and Traceable) software requirements and verification strategies.
The Senior Developer will support knowledge transfer and success of the more junior members of the team to help build an effective and proactive software team.
