Dimitar Petsov - Hardware Engineer
I connected with Megger through university and was allowed to gain engineering experience with a short-term apprenticeship. Afterwards, I was given support to do an industrial year placement where I participated in the development of a new product for the market. Megger offered me a full-time position after graduation and since then, I have been working on a variety of challenging projects.
I continue to build my knowledge of electronic design and innovative measurement techniques. Megger is very supportive in allowing employees to familiarise themselves with product development at different stages. The workplace allows for close collaboration between departments, which contributes to a better overall design for manufacturing.

The working environment at Megger has a "family feel" and it has a very experienced team of engineers who are always supportive. The responsibilities of my position include a mixture of electronic design and innovative work that contributes to my professional development.
Megger has an ideology and strives to design high specification and reliable products that are tested to meet relevant international standards. This is an important part of our engineering responsibilities and is industry-specific. I was able to build knowledge and experience in developing products to these standards, and this is an important and valuable skill set to have as an engineer.

Our hardware engineers are fully engaged in the detailed development process for our New Product Development programs, as well as involved in the Research and Innovation program when needed.
This provides an opportunity for learning design to meet harsh EMC requirements and stringent safety requirements that apply to Megger products.
As we are a manufacturing facility, hardware engineers will also support the diverse range of current Megger products, including high voltage, high current, and high sensitivity instruments.
