Jed Gorka – Technical Scrum Master

“Being a Technical Scrum Master at Megger allows me to work with exceptional individuals and engage in really interesting projects”

I joined Megger on 13th of February 2023 transitioning from various project management roles across variety of industries such as utilities,  SaaS AI & accommodation management, or telecoms.

I applied for the role of technical scrum master because of Megger’s industry reputation, the values they represent, and technology they create.

Very early in my interview process I realised how nice people working at Megger were. I experienced some technical issues and both interviewers were incredibly understanding and patient, waiting for me to get back online.

Shortly after joining Megger and meeting the wider team at Dover I realised that each Megger employee is an ambassador of those values. This reassured me in thinking that the values Megger represents aren’t just fancy posters on the walls.

There is an ongoing joke in the Engineering department that we have some ‘new starters’ that have been working for Megger for 20+ years.

The Engineering department at Megger feels to me like a one big team, working on achieving common goals, supporting each other in challenging times, and learning together. Being a technical scrum master at Megger allows me to work with exceptional individuals and engage in really interesting projects.

Role description

In this role, you will be working with the Engineering department, focusing on enhancing the current state of agility in our practices and processes.

As a Scrum Master, pragmatism is all that matters. Working in a fast-paced, embedded software environment has its own unique challenges, but you will be supported with excellent training and peer support if you are the right candidate.
