Megger förvärvar Metrycom, en teknikledare inom Smart Grid-övervakningslösningar

Megger Group today announced that it has acquired the entire share capital of Metrycom

Metrycom delivers unique network sensor and analysis solutions for online measurements, condition monitoring and fault location using sophisticated detection and prediction algorithms for medium and high voltage networks. Smart grid sensor networks provide information to grid operators, enabling real-time overview of energy consumption, phase imbalances and power flows across the grid including distributed energy resources.

The analytics provide decision makers with predictive analysis of future failures, supporting predictive maintenance practices along with improved detection and localization of unplanned outages. This also enables improved reliability in grid systems year over year, with improvements in the SAIDI, SAIFI and CAIFI Grid Reliability Indexes.

“We are delighted to bring Metrycom into the Megger family. Metrycom's Smart Grid sensor technology is best-in-class, enabling grid owners to gain greater visibility into their grids and to help to operational management and preventive condition-based maintenance, all of which improve grid reliability.”

Jim Fairbairn, Chief Executive Officer of Megger

On the purchase supporting Megger's growth strategy, he said, "The addition of Metrycom supports the industry's long-term transition to online solutions and complements Megger's partial discharge monitoring solutions for substation GIS and GIL assets. This acquisition underpins our medium-term vision of becoming a connected, digital, value-adding analytical partner for electricity companies and all customers who work with energy management.”

Liron Frenkel, Managing Director of Metrycom: "We are very pleased to have been acquired by Megger, as this complements the Metrycom business, provides outstanding business development opportunities and extended reach to new customers who can benefit from our high-quality Smart Grid monitoring solutions".
